Gaming Phone Red Magic 8 Pro Series Announced, Flagship Specifications with Super Cooling

In addition to Honor’s new phone released yesterday, another manufacturer, Nubia, also released the Red Magic 8 Pro series of gaming phones yesterday. This series has two types, the regular version of Red Magic 8 Pro and the enhanced version of Red Magic 8 Pro+. The biggest differences between the two in terms of specifications are battery capacity, charging power, and RAM capacity.

The Red Magic 8 Pro series is positioned as a gaming phone, so the heat dissipation capability is naturally quite particular. According to the manufacturer, both phones have a 2068mm³ cooling plate and a dedicated cooling fan, which is the strongest ever in Red Magic. The Red Magic 8 Pro series is equipped with a 6.8-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2,480 x 1,116, supports 120Hz refresh rate, and a 16MP selfie camera on the
bottom of the screen.

The Red Magic 8 Pro series is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and the regular version offers 8GB or 12GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of storage, while the enhanced version of the Red Magic 8 Pro+ has 12GB or 16GB of RAM, paired with 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage. The three-lens camera on the back of the machine consists of a 50MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle, and 2MP macro. The pre-loaded system is Red Magic OS 6.0 is based on Android 13.

The battery configurations of the two phones mentioned above are different. The Red Magic 8 Pro has a built-in 6,000mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging, while the Red Magic 8 Pro+ has a battery capacity of only 5,000mAh but supports 165W fast charging. The official claims that the Pro+ version only needs 14 Fully charged from 0% to 100% in minutes. The functions shared by the other two phones include RGB flashing lights on the back of the machine, the industry’s fastest 520Hz shoulder game button, a 3.5mm headphone jack, support for Snapdragon Sound, 96kHz lossless music, and dual stereo speakers with 48ms low latency.
